ABOUT ME

I am Cutty Referenz, producer and urban music mixing technician born in Elche (Spain) and based in Switzerland since 2012.

I started in music in 2006 as an MC, founding together with Swizz the collective Reference, which also included MCs such as Melez or Garry. After several years making music together, each one went their own way and mine led me to make the decision in 2012 to move to Switzerland. After some time adapting to a new country and learning the language, I decided to turn my musical career around and began to train as a producer and as a mixing technician.

After investing a lot of time and effort in my training, in 2018 I released my first self-released Beattape, called VipTape, together with Spanish producers Indominus Jack, Sr. Magnesio and Xema (Siete Cero Estudio). I have also worked with MCs such as SempaiSptico (member of the Vida Cerda collective) including one of my productions on his album Kosmonauta (2020), or with the versatile Argentine MC Nefasto (420 Estudios), a young artist, very disciplined and with incredible talent. .

Since then I have worked to achieve a sound and some characteristic productions within the Old School with modern sounds and dynamics, but that are capable of transporting you to the Golden Age of Hip Hop.
